Author Bio

Ashleigh Underwood was born in Las Vegas where she was first published in a Henderson Libraries Anthology with an essay titled, “Caged in Fear.” She earned her degree in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. When she isn’t writing stories that make us smile she is probably watching some sporting game and loudly disagreeing with referees. Ashleigh currently lives in Arizona with her husband and two sons.

Some facts— I know these are usually called fun facts but you get to decide if they are fun.

  • I know more about sports than I do about make up, hairstyles, and fashion.

  • Catch me cheering for Vegas Golden Knights, the Patriots, the Bulls & the Suns, the Aces, and some baseball teams—usually the Cubs.

    • The variety of my team loyalty is a result of growing up in Vegas before Vegas had teams. Feel free to ask for the stories of how I started loving my teams, some of them are interesting.

  • I read as much as I write.

  • I’m not as funny as I think I am but I can probably make you laugh.

  • I love Jesus with my whole heart.

  • Crocs are gross shoes. I could give a whole TED talk about it.

  • If you saw me out in the wild, you’ll hear me before you see me—I’m loud.
